Chris Sheehan is a music industry consultant with 25 years experience in the music business. He has a unique perspective and address book thanks to a portfolio career that includes 18 years as a songwriter, producer, artist and recording studio owner; 10+ years as a music publisher, artist manager, promoter for the UK industry's main showcase, and small indie record label head; as well as 8 years as industry connector for the UK's largest and most important music charities, Help Musicians and Music Minds Matter. As well as founding industry CIC and networking hub Karousel Music who he is currently MD for, Chris is also member of the majority of music industry trade bodies including:

  • The Music Managers Forum, whom he partners with alongside US giants SESAC to run the UK industry's longest running new music showcase in East London. To date he has provided the best new artists from around the UK and beyond with over 525 showcase opportunities in front of labels, managers, agents, publishers and press in London.
  • The Ivors Academy, SESAC, MCPS and PRS as a songwriter and publisher
  • The Association of Independent Music (AIM) as a label owner
  • PPL as a performer and label
  • The MU and Featured Artist Coalition as a musician/artist and manager

Amongst his other clients, Chris has consulted to leading agency Big Group on various events in support of the Brit Awards, Mercury Prize, Champions League and brand launches. Recent work includes shows, interviews or activations with artists such as Tom Walker, Tom Grennan, Public Service Broadcasting, Katie Melua, Benjamin Clementine, Nova Twins and You Me At Six.

The breadth of Chris's experience means he has strong connections with managers, booking agents, artists and various other members of the teams supporting the UK's great artists.
