This is my go-to quick smoothie recipe that has become my daughter's favourite choice for breakfast. It is also a filling post-gym snack or a great lunch-on-the-run option! Even if I haven't done a grocery shop, I can usually whip this up as all of the ingredients are freezer or pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 100g frozen banana chunks
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 1 tsp cacao powder
- 1 heaped tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp chia seeds
- milk of choice (can use cows, soy, almond, oat, etc.)
- optional for adults: shot of instant coffee
Method
- place all ingredients in blender
- top up with milk to 400mL level
- blend until smooth
