She was joined by Michigan governor, Gretchen Whitmer, and the first woman senator from Michigan, Debbie Stabenow. Former president Donald Trump held a rally the same day in Detroit, with both sides fighting for voters in the swing state.
“My impression of Donald Trump,” said Senator Debbie Stabenow, standing still as she addressed the crowd before Harris’s speech. The speakers mocked former president Trump throughout the rally.
