Introduction
Our Christian faith has, as a core belief, the understanding the we are created Imago Dei - in the image of God. As such, we are called, through the course of our lives, to continuously grown in our awareness of who the Lord has called us to be.
Knowing who you are called to be begins with a deepened sense of self-awareness, of knowing you you are.
A Compass for Your Calling offers individuals the opportunity to more fully recognize their innate strengths and challenges and understand the guiding narrative of their journey to their fullest selves.
Program Overview
The program has two parts to it, which are designed to be sequenced together, but which can be engaged in separately as desired:
- Knowing Yourself - the individual is accompanied through a certified practitioning of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to help deepen her/his self awareness
- Guiding Narrative - the individual is invited to explore his/her journey of self development in the context of their faith
These two program parts are described below.
Knowing Yourself
This first program part provides participants with an opportunity to more fundamentally understand themselves. The Myers-Briggs Type Inventory brings to light core preferences that impact all spheres of life, from academic to interpersonal and recreational.

- Assessment - taking the actual online MBTI assessment
- Discovery - unpacking the results of the assessment to hone the results and consider the future practical suggestions of it

Why are we doing this? Establishing a good answer to that question is our first step such that understanding and investment in the process can be most fully recognized. This step ensures that the participant can proceed with clarity and confidence in the next part of the process.
