Dear University community,
Now, we begin the rush to finals, Commencement ceremonies, the long-awaited Christmas holidays… and the hope and promise of a New Year.
- Students, we appreciate your support and partnership as last week, you've voted to support a Referendum to help maintain and enhance high-quality health services for TAMIU students, with a 56.3% majority supporting the measure. The University will now seek approval from the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents in February 2024. If approved by the Board, the Student Health Fee will increase by a flat $24.35 per long semester beginning Fall 2024. Go Dustdevils!
- This Fall semester signals a healthy rebound in student enrollment at Texas A&M International University, which also welcomed the largest freshman class in its history. The total enrollment was 8,507 students; 6,975 undergraduates and 1,532 graduate students. Learn more here.
- Registration for TAMIU's Wintermester and Spring 2024 courses continues online via UConnect. Registration is open for all students, undergraduate and graduate. To learn more, visit the dedicated Registration Hub at https://go.tamiu.edu/registration.
- Open forums continue for candidates for the position of College of Arts and Sciences Dean. Forums are open to both TAMIU employees and students. The two remaining forums are for Dr. Mitchell Croatt, Wednesday, December 6, from 10-11 a.m., in STC 236 and Dr. Bill Donner, Friday, December 8, from 1-2 p.m. in STC 236.
- Dustdevils, remember, TAMIU will observe its Commencement Ceremonies Thursday, Dec. 14. The graduation ceremony for the College of Arts & Sciences and University College will be at 11 a.m. and the ceremony for the A. R. Sanchez Jr. School of Business, College of Education and College of Nursing and Health Sciences will be at 4 p.m. Both graduation ceremonies will be held at the Sames Auto Arena. For more information, visit here.
Stay warm, Dustdevils, and have a great week!
