AUTOBIOGRAPHY
My name is Alejandra Silva, but most people call me “Chama”. I was born in Venezuela, and in 2013, my family and I made the life-changing decision to move to the United States. Soccer has been my passion and constant companion since I was 11 years old, shaping who I am both on and off the field.
Like many immigrant kids, I faced my fair share of challenges—learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and finding my place in an unfamiliar world. But these obstacles only fueled my determination. Through hard work and resilience, I excelled in both the classroom and on the field. Soccer became more than a game; it was my escape, my teacher, and my source of strength.
My dedication opened doors I never imagined, allowing me to play for Westminster Christian School and later at Nova Southeastern University. Along the way, I learned not just about the game, but about life—perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of lifting others up. These lessons have stayed with me as I transitioned from player to coach, and they guide me in everything I do.
