Molly Happy 4th gotcha day!

It's hard to believe, but it's been 4 years since I adopted my sweet little Molly (November 22, 2020). She's been my nearly constant companion since then, and has greatly enriched my life.

A few of the earliest photos of Molly. The one on the left is the very first one, taken just a few minutes after she arrived in her new home. She made herself at home right away.

I discovered a few years ago that Molly likes to drink from faucets. Even though she now has a cat fountain that she can drink from any time she wants, she still will jump on the bathroom counter and wait for the water to be turned on.

Molly's a typical cat - she likes to sit in or on things, especially books.
Isn't she a beautiful cat?
Molly is a very photogenic girl, isn't she?

Over the last 4 years, Molly has gone from being the only cat, to having a little sister (Maggie), to having to share her home with 3 stray kittens that we rescued (and are hoping to find good homes for). Through it all, she's been a great big sister to Maggie, and has adapted well to the kittens, playing with them at times, but also letting them know when they're out of line. She's got a definite maternal side to her, even today when her "little" sister Maggie is actually much bigger than her.

Molly with the other cats she's had to share her home with over the last 4 years. The last 3 pictures are, in order, her with Melanie, Adley, and Jackson (and Maggie too).

Even though it's only been 4 years, it seems like Molly's been part of my life for far longer. I guess that's true of every significant presence in our lives - it's hard to imagine a time when they weren't present. Hopefully I'll have many more years with Molly in my life, and get to do many more of these remembrances on the anniversary of her adoption.
