Let Us Pray
Gracious and loving God,
As we gather in this season of gratitude,
We thank You for the blessings You have poured into our lives
For the gift of family, friends, and our school community.
May we always recognize Your presence in the kindness we share,
The lessons we learn, and the love we give.
Help us to carry a spirit of thankfulness beyond this season,
Living each day with joy, compassion, and faith.
Amen.

Strike Action
We’re sharing this October newsletter, which includes details about upcoming events and school news. Please note that, due to the possibility of a province-wide teachers’ strike beginning Monday, October 6, regular school operations may be disrupted. Any school events on this calendar will not take place during a strike.
If an agreement is not reached, classes will be cancelled, and students will not attend school in person or online. Families are encouraged to arrange childcare and ensure personal items are brought home by Friday. We remain hopeful for a resolution and will resume regular communication once the strike ends.
Will teachers be providing homework for students during the strike?
Teachers will not be providing instruction, homework, or learning materials during a province-wide strike beginning Monday, October 6. When classes resume, teachers will review key concepts and support students in getting back on track.

Jubilee Project
2025 is the year of Jubilee. MMM is approaching this special year in two ways.
Stained Glass Window
The school has embarked on a legacy project to have stained glass installed on the window of the school chapel. The stained glass will form a cross on the exterior window to the chapel allowing it to be viewed from the inside and outside of the chapel.
We are providing families with an opportunity to donate to support this legacy project. Starting on October 14, donations to the project can be made through your powerschool portal. Donations greater than $100 will receive a stained glass cross made from the same glass that will be placed in the school to commemorate the installation of the larger cross in the school. Our goal is to have the larger cross installed before the end of 2025 with small crosses being delivered to donors in the spring of 2026. We are excited to ad this symbol of our faith to our school.
Day of Jubilee
On Wednesday, November 19, the MMM community will take part in a Day of Jubilee. The day will include performances, art work, food and community. In community, our student body will attend performances in the afternoon followed by an Evening of Jubilee for families and community members. We are excited to invite you to join us for this wonderful day in our community of faith.
