2024 Weeks Construction Community Award recipients:
Taylor, Practical Nursing, Pictou Campus
"This award will help out a lot in my journey as a student. This award will help relieve any financial strain being a single parent, working and attending school full-time will put on my little family. Thank you Weeks for helping students better their careers and helping in our own community."
Zachary, Welding, Pictou Campus
"My name is Zachary and I am a 2024 high school graduate. When thinking of my future career and what courses I would need, I knew I wanted to do something that was a hands on trade. In grade ten I took part in the Career Exploration Program (CEP). I was able to learn and practice various skills through the automotive program, one of which was welding. I chose to apply for the welding course at the Pictou campus in order to stay close to home. I am looking forward to learning and working in my community, contributing my skills and efforts into growing our province."
"I would like to extend my gratitude to all those involved in making this bursary/award possible for those of us in financial need. I am honored to be considered and granted these financial funds."
