Dear Bluejay Family,
Before we kick off a new week, I want to take a moment to commend all of our students for their focus, perseverance, and effort during standardized testing. We know this week can feel long and challenging, but our Bluejays rose to the occasion with resilience and determination. We are proud of each and every one of them!
This weekend brought a beautiful blessing as many of our second graders received their First Holy Communion. It was a joy and an honor to witness our young students receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time, becoming living tabernacles. These sacred moments are a powerful reminder of why we do what we do at St. Cecilia—nurturing not just minds, but hearts and souls.
This week, we are thrilled to mark a significant milestone in the life of our school—the groundbreaking of our Cafeteria Expansion. This moment represents much more than construction; it is the first step in a broader vision for the future of St. Cecilia. With more exciting improvements on the horizon, we remain committed to serving our students and strengthening our mission.
Thank you for your continued partnership in faith and formation.
Grace & Peace,
Erin B. Henry
Principal

2025-2026 Tuition Payment plans - finalization to begin soon
We will begin finalizing payment plans for the 25-26 school year on Monday, April 14th. Please note that once a payment plan is finalized, changes made to the plan will incur a $50 processing fee. Please log into family portal to view your plan information for the upcoming school year to ensure you have selected the correct payment plan for 25-26. Please do NOT add another payment plan to your FACTS account without communicating with Marsha Granger (mgranger@scsbluejays.org or call 337-837-1864, ext. 222) as this could result in two payment plans being finalizing for your child(ren) next year.
Dear Bluejay Family,
Track and tennis were the only Bluejay sports in action this week. The tennis team played against Catholic High on Thursday, winning 8 courts. The Panthers from New Iberia were an experienced team, but the Bluejays fought, smiled, and had fun! The track team was in action on Wednesday at Teurlings. The team is rounding out its depth for the championship meet. The kids are still giving their all and that is quite impressive. You can see the results for the last meeet as well as the others by following the link to athletic.net. Special thanks to all of our data collectors and parents that are making this run smoothly. Both track and tennis return to action on Thursday, April 10th.
The SCS swimming team had the week off this week, but will hit the pool on Wednesday, April 9th.
I know this is early to be thinking about football for next year, but the opportunity to participate in Coach Chris Klock's Football Camp is available to our rising 5th through 8th graders. It will be held at STM on June 25th, 26th, and 27th. I have attached the link for the jotform below for you to register and for more information. Thanks so much for your support of SCS Football.
Schedules are available on our athletics page, where you can find all the information you need for Bluejay sports. Our 7/8th Grade Football Team’s championship gear is available to purchase. Our 5th Grade Girls Basketball Team's championship gear is now available for purchase. Softball championship gear is in production.
Have a blessed day,
Scott Boudreaux
