AECOM has served all Naval Facilities Engineering Commands worldwide.
AECOM has completed $1.5B+ in project value for the Navy in the last 10 years.
AECOM has had 59 on-call contracts for the Navy in the last 10 years.
AECOM has executed 3,100 orders for the Navy in the last 10 years.
AECOM is an industry leader that consistently earns top ENR rankings in the following categories:
Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program
AECOM is providing planning services to maximize efficiency at the four U.S. Navy shipyards: Norfolk Naval Shipyard; Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF); Portsmouth Naval Shipyard; and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and IMF. These shipyards currently serve the U.S. Navy's nuclear fleet including submarines and aircraft carriers.
The plan aims to assess the current state of these shipyards, perform advanced planning studies, incorporate upgrades into Area Development Plans, and improve overall layout for more optimized and efficient industrial operations and, thereby, increased fleet readiness.
Hurricane Irma Response
When this Category 4 storm closed roads and knocked out utilities throughout the southeastern U.S., AECOM teams were on the ground within 18 hours to evaluate and prioritize response efforts for the U.S. Navy's installations.
To ensure the Navy's mission-critical facilities remained fully-operational, AECOM mobilized to deliver water mitigation, roof repairs, emergency power and personnel life support at NAS Key West and provided erosion and damage assessments at NS Mayport and NAS Jacksonville in Florida.
U.S. Navy Energy Efficiency Improvements
AECOM, in a joint venture, implemented energy efficiency improvements at numerous U.S. Navy facilities throughout the eastern U.S. These upgrades included 9.2 megawatts of solar capacity in solar photovoltaic and other renewable energy sources. We provided design as well as project and construction management services.
NAVFAC Pacific Comprehensive Long-Term Environmental Action Navy (CLEAN)
AECOM has supported the U.S. Navy's environmental restoration program through NAVFAC Pacific CLEAN continuously since 1995. AECOM's work on the contract includes environmental technical and engineering services focused primarily on restoration projects related to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).
NAS Oceana Installation Development Plan
AECOM prepared Oceana's Installation Development Plan to guide master planning efforts and real property investments at the master jet base for the next 25 years. The plan integrates strategic installation planning components and real property development details for NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic.
