MARQUAVIOUS DONTRELL BROWN: Covington's finest By GIANA DIAZ

Marquavious Dontrell Brown, also known as Qua Brown, is a Guard for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Men’s Basketball Team. He’s A&T’s #3, coming in at 6’3” tall and with a weight of 200.

Due to an achilles heel injury he got in his high school's 2022-2023 season he was not able to participate in the 2023-2024 season. As for the 2024-2025 season he has been listed as a Freshman Redshirt.

The Newton Rams and Morgan County Basketball are the teams Qua Brown played for before starting his university basketball career. At Morgan County his jersey was #2, he was 6’4”, weighed in at 190lbs., and his position was shooting guard.

Brown was praised during his high school career for his versatility on the court as he was able to defend, score, and provide opportunities for his teammates to score.

Qua Brown received plenty of offers from various schools, such as the George Washington Colonials, the Georgia State Panthers, the Georgia Bulldogs, etc. The first two schools that Brown committed to were the Georgia State Panthers and the Georgia State Bulldogs.

Marquavious, however, decommitted from both of these schools. On Dec 6th, 2022, North Carolina A&T put in an offer Brown and on the same day he committed. It was on July 10th, 2023 where he officially joined A&T's Men's Basketball Team.

Thanks to his basketball talents Qua Brown scored a collaboration with AthleteGEM.

This organization partners with and teaches student athletes on how to build their brand, how to market themselves and their product, and create and market their own signature diamond.

Qua Brown doesn't only know how to play basketball. He also played football as well. Wearing the #1 jersey, He was a wide receiver and helped his team score.

Brown hasn't had the opportunity to show the world what he can do at the University level of Basketball just yet, but once he's able to he will amaze all of us.
