UNDP Maldives q2 NEWSLETTER 2024

Hello from the Maldives!

This Quarter and going forward, UNDP keeps delivering with renewed alignment to the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS) that was finalized during SIDS4. We are uniting to tackle the critical challenges faced by Maldives – climate change, and economic and fiscal vulnerability in support of social resilience. As development cooperation narratives are occupied with public finance reforms, UNDP keeps its value offer anchored around the resolution of state governance challenges, to address gaps and shortfalls that may occur so that all development is inclusive, fair and responsive to the unique challenges and vulnerabilities of SIDS like Maldives.

- Enrico Gaveglia, UNDP Resident Representative in the Maldives
