Ame Brouwer
This portfolio explores the rhythm of everyday life through two lenses: color and monochrome. The color images capture vibrancy and movement—moments like waiting for the bus, passing familiar landmarks, and noticing a marigold in bloom. In contrast, the black-and-white images invite reflection and stillness: the quiet geometry of a basketball hoop, the intimacy of a cat’s face, the solemnity of a soldier’s gravestone. By pairing these perspectives, I aim to show how ordinary spaces hold both energy and calm, presence and memory. Each photo is a fragment of my world, revealing how I see beauty in motion and meaning in pause.
