Lonely Acorn

This texture photo was taken in Cherry creek canyon and is an example of how some small things can be cool. Just giving good lighting. It is a good example of texture because when you look at it you can basically feel how that tree would feel. How ruff and barky it is. And the acorn shows how smooth it is and the small spikes at the top of the Acorn stem.

Reflective Eyes B/W

This photo was taken off a whim at my home. The black and the white can make you feel. The goal of this piece was to make the viewer think about what the dog in the picture must have just done or what it is thinking about. I learned that simply by changing a color scheme you can completely change the way the photo feels.

Reflective Eyes

This photo is in contrast with the black and white photo. Is warm and might make the viewer think that this was taken on a hot summer day and the dog in the picture simply wants to go out and play. This was the goal. As you look at the picture you can imagine how soft the fur is and due to the warm colors. You might imagine the fur to be warm or hot to the touch.

Slumbering Trees

This picture was meant to capture the way we look at forests. Trees and nature. I wanted for people to look at this and say. “Wow, that is nature.” Because that's what I say everytime I look at this photo. It truly captures how large and tall trees are when you simply look up.

Glass Eye

This is an amazing photo showcasing a glass ball. That is when you take a picture through it. It inverts the view. This makes for a really cool optical illusion. And really awesome viewing.

Greenery

This photo captures the beauty of summer time. And how the green makes you feel. During this project I wanted the viewer to imagine summer and get the summer feeling. This taught me how to color match and how to properly use exposure.

Lone Flower

This picture showcases the simple beauty of a lone flower. For this photo I went out just after it had rained. Then I found a flower that had bloomed earlier than the others around it. Then I took a picture of it. This made me think of a quote by Jim hightower. “ The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it is conformity. Even a dead fish can go with the flow. “

Oil And Water Collage

This was a fun project combining glass, oil, water, and light. This was cool because it was a new way to do photography that maybe somebody might not think of when they see it. This photo contrasts the opposite colors of green and red. Making a really cool visual for a collage.

Oil And Water Collage 2

This was a fun project combining glass, oil, water, and light. This was cool because it was a new way to do photography that maybe somebody might not think of when they see it. This photo contrasts the opposite colors of blue and orange. Making a really cool visual for a collage.

Prismatic Pools

This was an amazing picture taken at the prismatic pools in Yellowstone national park Wyoming. This was taken just after it had rained and the smoke was coming up perfectly. This captures the amazing geothermal wonder that is Yellowstone national park.

Rocky Road

This photo was taken while on a hike. It shows that sometimes the cool things in nature can be simply overlooked if you're not observing the small things. This photo captures the hard and rough texture of the rocky surface. Allowing the audience to basically feel what the rock feels like through the photo.

Crying Sunflower

This photo was taken seconds after it had stopped raining and the sunflowers looked amazing. These sunflowers' dark colors are showcased by the small water droplets on the petals. This makes the audience admire the beauty of nature and what it can offer.

Sun's Horizon

This amazing picture was taken at princess beach in Pensacola Florida. This photo is amazing because it captures the moment the sun dips below the horizon and disappears. With an amazing glare off the camera lens. The waves are a beautiful dark blue to guide the eyes to the light of the sun. And the audience can feel the sand on their feet as they gaze upon the picture

Dogs Portal

This project is an experiment on layer masks. It makes the audience think and realize that there is no way something like this could happen in real life. Yet it looks like I just took a picture of it as I saw it happening. Showcases how powerful photoshop is.

Trees zoom

This three image Triptych showcases a zooming-like effect. Starting with looking at a large forest. Then narrowing it down to one tree than looking at simply one sap patch on the tree. It allows for good imagery. And makes the audience think about how the pictures were taken.
