ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Yoong Wei Tai. I’m currently a student pursuing a Diploma in Design and Media, majoring in Industrial Design. I have a strong passion for drawing and 3D modeling, and I enjoy expressing my creativity through both traditional and digital mediums. Outside of design, I’m also enthusiastic about sports and enjoy staying active in my free time.
Problem Statement
In fire emergencies, many people are unable to put out the fire effectively because they use the wrong type of extinguishing agent. Each class of fire requires a specific material—using the wrong one can worsen the situation or be completely ineffective. However, if a fire extinguisher could switch between different extinguishing agents, a single device could adapt to various fire scenarios more effectively. This flexibility would not only improve the chances of successfully controlling the fire but also enhance safety and user confidence in critical moments.
FLAMEFLEX
is a newly designed fire extinguisher equipped with interchangeable canisters, allowing users to respond to different types of fires with the right extinguishing agent. Its exterior features reflective panels for better visibility in low-light conditions, and it also includes an emergency flashlight to assist in dark or smoky environments
