Monte Ross was born on August 11th, 1970 in Philadelphia, PA. Where he learned of and grew his love for basketball, leading him to a successful career in his respective field. He is also married with two children.

"My family is my rock and the most important thing to me because they keep me grounded…they're my everything.” Ross states. “I'm most proud of my kids and what my wife has done with my kids.”

University Attendance

Monte Ross Is a proud Nupe, and graduated from Winston-Salem State University in 1992, where he played college basketball as a Reserve Guard. During his reign, he practiced with head coach Clarence "Big House" Gaines from 1988-1992.

"Son of a Nupe, Father of a Nupe..a Nupe!!" Ross stated.

CAREER:

Monte Ross has a well-established career in sports and has been working for over a decade in his profession. He was an assistant coach for 3 years with the Temple Owls and worked as the head coach for the Delaware Blue Hens from 2006-2016, leading them to the NCAA tournament in 2014. He is now the head coach at North Carolina A&T.

As of 2023, Monte Ross has a record of 132-184. He continues to this day to embark on his journey of bettering the lives of his players while leading them to success both on and off the court.

In addition to this, Ross also has experience as an assistant coach before becoming head coach at NCAT. He was the assistant coach for 3 years with the Temple Owls. This gave him insight into what it takes to lead a successful team.

In addition to his experience as assistant coach, Ross was the head coach for the Delaware Blue Hens for 10 years (2006-2016). During his time there, he lead his team to the NCAA tournament (2014).

Monte Ross also had experience with the CAA. He reached a 12-6 mark in the CAA with the Delaware Hens. This great accomplishment shows that Monte Ross has what it takes to be the head coach.

Monte Ross is now the head coach of NCAT Men's basketball team. With his dedication and experience, Monte Ross has what it takes to lead his team to victory.
