I created a postcard for the city of Los Angeles. In this project I learned to overlay pictures over letters to create a word made from images. My goal was to create a postcard that would make someone genuinely want to visit the city and that could be enjoyable to look at. I like how it turned out and think that the fonts work well with each other. I hope that the audience likes the piece and feels a genuine desire to go check out LA!
I created a collage to raise awareness of how crippling alcohol abuse is. In this project I learned to merge multiple images and make them all appear to be part of the same picture. My goal was to create a piece that would discourage people from wanting to use alcohol and repel the possibility of becoming addicted. I think it turned out pretty cool and that the color scheme works. I hope the viewers enjoy the piece and hope it causes reflection on the viewers drinking habits and whether they are healthy or out of control.
I created a new book cover for one of my childhood favorites, Where the Red Fern Grows. In this project I learned to ingrain textures into shapes to create a piece with a unique overall texture. My goal was to create a visually appealing piece that helped promote the peaceful, yet enjoyable outdoor feeling that dominates a large portion of the book. I like how it turned out and think that it looks very professional and like something that the book could have been published with. I hope that whoever is viewing this likes the look and the leather elements.
I created a 4-color poster for a movie that I made up about cars. In this project I learned to apply threshold to an image and make it black and white to apply my own color scheme. My goal was to create a poster that put across an exciting and adrenaline pumped vibe. I am very happy with the piece and think it looks really cool and futuristic. I hope the audience likes the color scheme and the overall feel of the piece.
