TRITON MEN'S GOLF

RETURNERS

Shane Darby (Jr.) -A three-year contributor for the Tritons, Darby has played in 14 tournaments. This fall, he played in all four tournaments with a 77.00 stroke average. He fired a season-low 73 in the second round of the National Preview (Sept. 11-12).

Nicholas Zizzo (Jr.) - Zizzo has played in 12 events over his three seasons, competing in all four events this fall with a 77.4 average. He fired a season-low 72 in the second round of the Jay Jennison Cup on Sept. 25-26. 

Joey Lagana (Jr.) - Lagana has appeared in 14 events over his career. This fall, he played in one event with an 84.7 average.

Colby Hook (Jr.) - Hook has played in one tournament over his career, where he shot a season-best 82 in round two of the Matlock Collegiate Classic on February 6, 2023.

Viktor Haglund (Jr.) - Haglund has not appeared in an event after transferring from Williams Baptist University. He looks to make an impact this spring. 

Aidan Dimkas (Jr.) - Dimkas has not appeared in an event but looks to make an impact in his third season with Eckerd.

Daniel Norvell (Jr.) -Norvell competed in two tournaments last season. He shot a season-low 79 in round two of the Keiser Kup on March 6 and finished with an 81.5 stroke average.

RETURNERS (cont.)

Adam DiZinno (So.) - DiZinno has played in five tournaments. He shot a career-low 75 in the first round of the Sunshine State Conference Championship last year. This fall, he played in one event.

Josh Dizinno (So.) - A two-year staple for Eckerd, DiZinno has competed in 12 career events. This fall, he played in all four events, with a team-leading 76.00 stroke average. He shot a career-low 71 at the Keiser Kup last spring. 

Andrew Demuth (So.) - Demuth has played in 10 events over his career with four events this fall. He finished the fall with a 78.08 stroke average.

NEWCOMERS

Tyler Van Dussen (Fr.) - Van Dussen prepped at Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota. he played in two events this fall with an 80.17 stroke average.

Luke Kusserow (Fr.) - Kusserow prepped at Mountain Vista High School in Colorado. He qualified for the 2021 Colorado 5A State Championship.

Sammy Ratliff (Fr.) - He prepped at Jonathan Alder High School in Ohio, where he earned all-conference first team honors.

DAVID WOODRUM

Woodrum joined the Tritons in August after spending the 2022-23 season at Davis and Elkins College (WV) as the head men’s and women’s golf coach. He was named the Golf Coaches Association of America Atlantic Region Coach of the Year after leading the men’s team to the NCAA National Championships in May after winning the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship Title. The women’s team finished third at the MEC Championships, their best finish in program history. He was the head men’s and women’s coach at Bluefield State (WV) before that, serving as the head men’s coach since 2017 and the head women’s coach since 2020, launching the women’s program. He also played at Bluefield State, where the team won the USCAA National Championship in 2016, and he received All-American honors.

This fall, he opened the fall with a win on the women's side at the Invite at Innisbrook. Two women's players claimed SSC Golfers of the Week honors: Sandra Eriksson and Melissa Ball.

Woodrum is joined by assistant coach Bill Buttner.

Josh Dizinno (So.)

Eckerd opens the season at Matlock Collegiate Classic on February 5-6 in Lakeland. The team had five events this spring wrapping up the regular season at the SSC Championship in Boca Raton on April 21-23.
