Announcing New Hotel Brand

ROBERTA'S SOCIETY

October 29, 2024... Kolpin Hotels and Karim Nielsen, CEO of Kolpin Hotels are happy and excited to announce their partnership in the development of a new brand called Roberta's Society. It is a high-end, low-key budget hybrid concept and a meeting point for various target groups, where art, culture and activities will occur and create a place that you don't just want to come to live.

Roberta's Society is created for travelers who want to stay in a lively, cozy and cool hotel with a strongly developed community. This new brand is aimed at guests between 18 and 50 years of age, and we want to accommodate both business and holiday guests or students who can stay there for a longer period.

A transformation will take place in Aarhus at a former Main library, built in 1934 and designed by Alfred Mogensen and Harald Salling-Mortensen. The project consists of a 455-bed hybrid where a fusion between a hostel and a 3-star hotel will emerge – consisting of 53 double rooms and 355 beds in dorms – from 4-12 beds, and in mega dorms of 34 beds. The building is designed to create a community that attracts students, travelers, and citizens to experience this sense of community at Roberta's Society based on the core of art and culture of Kolpin Hotels.

"Århus is a natural step for the development of a new brand, and we believe we are able to create a design and an environment that shows the world that it is possible to create a luxurious feeling in a budget concept," says Karim Nielsen, CEO of Kolpin Hotels. As Denmark's second largest city and a university city, we believe that there is demand for this type of product in the city. A hybrid between a hostel and a hotel is a global trend that we now want to offer in Aarhus. At the same time, one of our important goals is that we become one of the city's favorite places for young people to Co-work, have their Friday bar, get some good and cheap food and generally use the house as "their place"

"We are very proud of the development of the new brand and we hope to transform the two destinations into an experiential universe where people meet, work and eat. It will be creative and fun and act as a gathering point for local students and artists. We have worked on a concept and design that will honor the heritage of this iconic building and its architecture, the design is a tribute and interpretation of the 1930s and 40s, adapted to today's practicality and relaxed lifestyle, we are very excited to expand to the beautiful city of Aarhus," says Alexander Kolpin, Creative Director & Owner, Kolpin Hotels.

Kolpin Hotels builds on its success with the award-winning Hotel Sanders – as well as the new Sanders Residence, which represents the company's luxury hotels. Helenekilde Badehotel has always been about 'low-key luxury' - a historic and personal 'house' overlooking the Kattegat, surrounded by simple but tasteful settings.

About Kolpin Hotels

The foundation of Kolpin Hotels is based on a passion for arts, architecture, design and the delivery of an exceptional personal experience for guests – creating a strong lifestyle brand. The intention is to offer a type of quiet luxury, in a place with a strong sense of history and locale. This same sensibility was applied to Sanders Hotel, the first luxury boutique hotel in Copenhagen and the new Sanders Residence.

To date, this has also been successfully achieved at two of Denmark's most stylish beach and bathing hotels – Helenekilde Badehotel, overlooking the Kattegat. Tisvildeleje Strandhotel, located in the same town, was built in 1895 and is a popular hotel in the old fishing village.

Going forward, the intention is to establish authentic and unique boutique hotels in Denmark and international, which respects a high level of aesthetics and service, while at the same time creating a community that unites locals and travelers through art, culture and design.
