Aberdeen is a very attractive place to live and work, partly as a result of the prosperity engendered by many decades as a major, international oil capital, but also because of the quality of life available in and around the city. Local, national and international connectivity is first-class, and a great beauty of the city and region is our location within very easy (and quick) travelling distance of some of the most beautiful coastal and mountain scenery in the UK. Add in quality local schools, affordable housing and excellent leisure and sports facilities, while we know it is a commitment to come to North-East Scotland, those who make the journey are rarely disappointed.

Our Expectations

The successful candidates must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or hold an equivalent registration with another healthcare regulatory body.

You will be healthcare professionals who are passionate about integrating practice into academia with a particular focus on the skills and knowledge our students will require to be effective, person-centred, and prescriber-ready pharmacists. Teaching is delivered both on-campus and online and you will be expected to lead on developing and delivering content that enhances the student experience.

We highly value candidates who are registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber or hold an equivalent registration with other healthcare regulatory bodies. An MSc in Clinical Pharmacy (or an equivalent qualification) and a PhD or relevant research experience are also desirable. Furthermore, active experience as a prescriber, along with experience in education and training, will be advantageous.
