Seward Co-op will sustain a healthy community that has:

  • Equitable economic relationships;
  • Positive environmental impacts; and
  • Inclusive, socially responsible practices.
"Selling groceries is what we do best. With continued focus on simplifying and improving our operations, we can grow sales and achieve financial sustainability. This will allow us to grow the cooperative in alignment with our values and Ends.
We are in a challenging economic moment for our co-op, but I believe we can make it a turning point."
Cassandra Meyer, Board President
"When we are in service positions and when we are in leadership positions, we have the duty to look at options, seek help, and both lean on and support each other. I see that in action at Seward across the co-op, from floor staff to management."

2024 Financial Summary

The summary financial statements presented here are for the co-op’s fiscal year (FY) 2024, which ended June 30. The statements have been audited by Mahoney CPAs and Advisors. A complete copy of this audit is available to owners upon request.

After achieving a very small profit in FY2023 (without assistance from pandemic stimulus or other outside factors), the co-op had a substantial loss in FY2024. We also completed a major renovation of the Franklin store, replacing nearly every piece of major equipment, much of which dated back to the store’s opening in 2009.
