wøunds is the stage name of Igor Imbu, a Brazilian-born ambient and synthesizer musician based in Chicago. wøunds' sound blends elements of drone, ambient, and experimental music to create immersive sonic landscapes that transport listeners to ethereal realms.
When he's not working on his solo project, wøunds plays the modular synthesizer in the drone metal trio Apparitions, further exploring the intersection of different genres and experimenting with different sounds and textures.
