Harmony Day

On Harmony Day, our school came alive with vibrant celebrations reflecting Australia’s diverse cultures. Students and staff wore orange to show their support for inclusivity and participated in a range of activities, Classroom discussions focused on respect and belonging, and students contributed art and stories expressing what harmony means to them. The day was a wonderful reminder of the importance of coming together as a community and celebrating the unique backgrounds that enrich our school.

Promoting Kindness and Safety

Our playground is a key space for students’ social growth. We encourage kindness, sharing, and respectful behaviour, with staff actively modelling and reinforcing these values to help students build strong friendships and solve conflicts positively.   Bullying is repeated, unwanted behaviour that hurts someone physically, emotionally, or socially. We use clear anti-bullying strategies to teach students how to recognise, respond to, and report bullying, and provide extra supervision during break times to ensure everyone feels safe and included.   We understand every child has unique needs and developing social skills takes time. It’s important to remember that we are working with children who are still learning how to manage their emotions and relationships. Creating a friendly playground environment is a joint effort between staff, students, and families. By working together, respecting differences, and supporting children as they grow, we make our playground a safe and caring place for everyone. Our current focus area for Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) is Safe hands, safe feet.   We invite parents and carers to share any current concerns they may have about playground issues. We will investigate all concerns and work through them together.

Primary Debating Workshop

Stage 3 students who attended the debating workshop thoroughly enjoyed an engaging and entertaining day. They learned about building arguments, rebuttals, definitions, and speakers’ roles. Students also had the opportunity to meet other Stage 3 students from a range of schools and delivered short debating speeches, receiving valuable feedback.

Children’s University Information Session

Students participating in the Children’s University Program for 2026 have received their information packs, Term 1 booklets, and learning passports. They can begin recording their learning outside of school, including activities, dates and durations, and reflections on what they learned from these experiences. During Term 2, students will share their records with Mr O’Connor (School CU Coordinator), who will then update their learning passports. Please note that only school coordinators are authorised to add information to the passports. For examples of suitable learning experiences, please refer to the information pack. As students embark on this adventure, we look forward to seeing them develop as independent, lifelong learners. If you have any questions or would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
