Hi Everyone,
Blessed Christmas to all of you and your loved ones!
The most powerful message of Christmas is God coming into our world and ultimately sacrificing Himself to reconcile us to God. The angel of the Lord declared to Mary in Matt 1:20-23,
“But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Among the group of people firstly impacted by the coming of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour were, “the wise men from the East” (Matt 2:1). They remind us of:-
- The importance of developing a heart that searched for God. A heart that hungers after the Presence of God. v2 “where is He who is born King of the Jews…” Years later Jesus declared in His teaching, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” Matt 5:6
- The importance of not worshiping our own wisdom, abilities, position but seek to worship Him alone v2 “we have come to worship Him..:”
- The importance of Scriptures. Although they have a heart to search, they also seek those who knows the Scriptures for direction, v4-5 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. So, they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel”
The wise men from the East were privileged to be mentioned in the Scriptures and to worship Jesus in Person because they have a very keen prophetic sense. In seeing the star, they knew without a shadow of doubt that the, “King of the Jew” is born.
I pray for that God will give every one of you and your loved ones, “….the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places” Eph. 1:17-19.
I pray that you will see the purpose of Christ in your life with greater clarity and be anchored in His mighty working power released to you through His salvation.
May this Christmas bring a floodgate of the revelation of God’s great love for you and may He bless you with His immeasurable wisdom and deepest peace with exuberant joy and rejoicing. May the declaration of the holy angels in Luke 2: 10-14, impact you powerfully.
“Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Blessed Christmas. We love you all!
