A note from Mr Higginbottom

Hello! Here we are at half term already - it has been such a busy one! It has been great to see our children settle into their new classes and really crack on with learning. Thank you for supporting your children and our school. We hope that our families enjoy a peaceful half term and come back refreshed and ready to go again after the short break.

Thank you so much for the donations that you made to support our Harvest celebrations this week. We donated the items to the food bank at the Willows Community Centre in Mexborough. They asked us to pass on their thanks to you all.

A reminder that we finish school on Friday 25th October and return on TUESDAY 5th November as the Monday is an INSET day.

Thank you to Father Barley for joining us for our Harvest Festival this week! A big thank you also to everyone who donated food and toiletries to our collection. These have been donated to the food bank at The Willows community centre in Mexborough.
Online Safety

This week our Guide from the National College is information about how to support children's emotional resilience. Please remember that you can talk to us if you're worried about your child's wellbeing or see here for online safety: https://saferinternet.org.uk/online-issue/reporting

Attendance expectations

We'd be grateful if you'd remember that you have a responsibility to inform us if your child is absent from school. Please telephone the school office to do this, rather than using Dojo. Please could you also remember that classroom doors are open at 8:40 and children should be in class, ready to start lessons by 8:50? Thank you.

Have a lovely half term!

Thank you for your continued support of our school and for supporting your child by ensuring they're at school on time and they read at least 4 times each week. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child's time in school you can email enquiries@sqp.wwpat.org, find me on ClassDojo or chat to me at the start or end of the school day.

At Swinton Queen Primary School, children are aspirational, courageous and inquisitive; respectful of all.
