What does your average day look like? Or what are some of your essential duties?
My days consist of anything from visiting one of our facilities to fix a broken door handle, to reviewing and modifying an agency policy. It's a good mix of desk and computer work and being out and about working with others.
Do your duties differ throughout the year? And if so, how?
My duties shift day-to-day. As a service-related position, I am driven by the needs of others.

What is your background/formal education that led to where you are in your career today?
I have worked in the public sector for 17 years. I am a Yuba-Sutter resident, born and raised, coming back after college and getting married. I have always found great joy in working on projects for the community that I live in, especially when driving through town and being able to have a connection to progress taking place all around us.
I completed my bachelor's degree in human services, which helped guide me toward my path in administration and customer service. Throughout the years, I have worked in general admin support, purchasing, warehouse management, grants and special programs and revenue management, among many other projects.
How did you get involved in your current career path?
My current career path just naturally evolved. I started as a temporary admin clerk while I was wrapping up college and figuring out what I wanted to do. Within a few months, I transitioned to full-time, and then just followed opportunities as they came up. I always enjoy a challenge and fresh opportunities to learn something new, which has served me well over the years.
What do you enjoy most about working for Yuba Water?
I enjoy the people that I get to work with every day. Everyone is motivated to do their best and is so incredibly smart and talented.
What are three words you would use to describe Yuba Water?
Collaborative, forward-thinking and mindful.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family, boating and playing on our all-terrain vehicles. I also love to bake.
