Parent Teacher Conferences - March 7, 2024

This year’s Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on March 7 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. Since there is only one session of Spring Conferences, our teachers will be sending out email invites if your attendance is requested. Some of the possible reasons for an invitation may be:

If you do not receive an invitation from one or more of our teachers and are satisfied with your student’s current progress, attendance at this conference session is not necessary. You might consider sending an email to your student’s teachers or arranging a meeting at a separate time. If you are requested to attend, you may choose to bring your student with you to the Teams session, but it is not required. If you do not receive an email from one of your student’s teachers you are welcome to schedule an open time, but we do wish to prioritize those students & parents that fit the criteria described above. We will be sending the Conference Manager link in an email soon. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Forgotten Items and Lunch Drop Offs

To ensure safety and security, we are encouraging all student items to be dropped off on the blue cart in the vestibule and labeled with a sticky note. In addition to the sticky note, please use the Daily Drop off Log to put your students name and item. We will be going through the cart every hour to make sure items get to your student in a timely manner.

Student IDs

Please make sure your student has their ID on them at Larson. IDs help keep the flow of the lunch line moving and are necessary to check books and resources out of the media center. Thanks for your support!

Yearbook Pre-Purchase Deadline

The deadline to pre-purchase a yearbook is February 28th and the cost is $25. A few additional books will be available in June, but it is advised to pre-purchase. Yearbooks can be purchased now on Pay Schools.

Bathroom Behavior

We needed to bring to your attention an issue that we have has recently been made aware of about inappropriate behavior in bathrooms and locker rooms. In the girls' bathrooms, there has been an inordinate amount of paper towel being used so much so that custodians are reporting they are replacing product at an excessive pace. In the boys' bathrooms and locker rooms, toilets have been clogged due to excessive amounts of toilet paper. Inappropriate behavior in the bathroom can be uncomfortable for others and disruptive for those that need to use the facility as well as those that need to clean it up. Products in the restrooms are there to be used by students in a respectful and responsible way so that they are available to the next person that needs to use them. Please remind your student about the importance of maintaining a respectful and considerate environment for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation in addressing this matter and reinforcing these values at home. Together, we can ensure a safe and respectful environment for all students.

Student Testing -- Electronic Device Policy

Students participating in standardized testing must adhere to the policies outlined below.
