Eric and Kaitlyn Hupf Cru is a caring community passionate about connecting people to Jesus Christ

We are Eric and Kaitlyn Hupf!

God called the two of us to serve with Cru about six years ago, and he currently has us in Michigan's UP.

We met in college where we were both student leaders in Cru. We went separate ways after graduating, but God had a different plan, and he brought us back together to do ministry.

Our Vision

Young adults are catalysts of change. They will determine the future. Because of this, we work with college students, training and equipping them to do more with their faith. Two ways we do this are by:

  • involving them in Christian community
  • sending them out to be sharers of the gospel.

College students are the next generation of our workforce, and they are the next generation of missionaries.

Our Scope

We currently serve in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with Cru — Campus Crusade for Christ's campus ministry — and our home base is Marquette, MI.

Currently, we have active movements at Michigan Tech (Eric and Kaitlyn's alma maters) and Northern Michigan University. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, the rest of the colleges and universities in our scope have no active movement:

  • Gogebic Community College
  • Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College (KBOCC)
  • Bay College
  • Bay Mills Community College
  • Lake Superior State University (LSSU)
  • Northwestern Michigan College (NMC)
  • North Central Michigan College (NCMC)

With your prayer support, we hope to one day reach all of these campuses.

Our Family

Our family grew from being the two of us, to a family of three — Elliana was born in November 2023.

During this period of transition, Eric is stepping back from campus to prioritize connecting with others and share what God is doing here. He hopes to:

  • spread the gospel
  • encourage believers
  • raise additional funds to cover new expenses (new child & moving)

Your Part

We love sharing God's work with others, whether they be people we know or people we haven't yet met. We want everyone to have an opportunity to hear what God is doing on the college campus.

Once we raise the additional funds and prayer support we need for this stage of life, we will return to working on-campus, preparing the next generation.

We would love to share more stories of how God is at-work and what that looks like, as well as discuss how you can be a part of it all.
