Cocoa n' Cookies a design challenge brought to you by adobe and pvusd, Fall 2024

Calling all PVUSD scientists! Bring a science habitat to life with a snow globe animation.

To participate in this challenge, log in to Adobe Express, follow along with this guided activity, and submit your MP4 file to the appropriate form below by December 20th, 2024. Top designs will be featured on our design challenge website and one winning class from each grade band will be treated to cocoa n' cookies when we return from Winter Break.

Using the Guided Activity

For our youngest participants (grades K-2), we recommend creating your design as a whole class or in small groups as a teacher-run station.

For students working independently, this guided activity has a tutorial video built right in (see left). Students can pause, rewind and replay the video as needed without leaving the Adobe Express editor! *Tip: you may want students to wear headphones as they work independently.

Support for ELLS

For students needing some Spanish support, once the activity is open, they can click the CC icon to turn on captions in Spanish. *The instructions text and video in Guided Activities are not currently available in languages other than English, so if your student's Chromebook language is set to Spanish, follow the steps in this video to give them access to the activity video directions with Spanish subtitles.
