Spooky Fun with OT

Learning Through Halloween Fun

Kindergarten and first grade students recently had a chance to bring a little Halloween creativity into their occupational therapy session with Mr. Harvey. Using simple materials, paint, and tools like tweezers, students created their own spider models step by step.

The activity supported fine motor development for all little learners, giving students practice with grasping, placing, and assembling small pieces. They also worked on following directions, using tools with control, and paying attention to detail, skills that support handwriting, classroom tasks, and independence.

Across both grade levels, students stayed focused and enjoyed seeing their spiders come to life! The project provided a fun, age-appropriate way to build important skills while celebrating the spooky season.
