COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Exciting Progress in Downtown Temple City!

We’re thrilled to announce that demolition has been completed at the project site located at 9465 Las Tunas Drive, just across from Ralphs. This marks a major milestone in the transformation of this key property in our downtown corridor.

Once completed, this new mixed-use development will bring:

  • 46 new housing units, and
  • 5,800 square feet of commercial space, perfect for future shops, cafés, or offices.

With demolition now finished, crews will move forward with grading and underground utility work throughout May. Full-scale construction is expected to begin in earnest this June. This project is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to support smart growth, expand housing options, and bring new energy and walkable amenities to Las Tunas Drive. We look forward to keeping you updated as construction progresses!
