Show ganador del premio del publico del Zurich Theater Spektakel 2024
Al igual que las mujeres andinas tejen sus quipus [artefacto textil hecho de cuerdas y nudos] como monumentos memoriales, el artista argentino Tiziano Cruz emprende el camino de regreso a su propia infancia para reencontrarse con su comunidad.
A partir de un trabajo de archivo, la pieza propone una reflexión sobre cómo operan las jerarquías raciales y las estructuras de dominación en un mundo en el que el neoliberalismo arrasa violentamente con las huellas culturales, vitales y colectivas.
Wayqeycuna es la última pieza de la trilogía “Tres Maneras de Cantarle a una Montaña”, en la que el artista articula, a través de una serie de gestos poéticos, sus recuerdos de la infancia en el interior del norte argentino con manifiestos políticos sobre el mercado del arte y el privilegio de clase.

Just as Andean women weave their quipus [textile artefacts made of ropes and knots] as memorials, the Argentinean artist Tiziano Cruz takes the path back to his childhood to reconnect with his community.
Based on archival work, the piece proposes a reflection on how racial hierarchies and structures of domination operate in a world in which neoliberalism violently devastates cultural, vital, and collective traces.
Wayqeycuna is the last piece in the trilogy "Tres Maneras de Cantarle a una Montaña", in which the artist articulates, through a series of poetic gestures, his childhood memories of the interior of northern Argentina with political manifestos on the art market and class privilege.
Taller: “Pan para el mundo”/ WORKSHOP "Bread for the world"
"PAN PARA EL MUNDO" es un taller que forma parte de "Wayqeycuna", el cual busca entrelazar arte, territorio y comunidad. Este taller crea un espacio para explorar prácticas Andinas, como la creación de panes para honrar a nuestros muertos—aquellos que han dejado el plano terrenal y ahora habitan el plano ancestral. Los panes elaborados también se integrarán al espectáculo escénico. El taller promueve el trabajo colaborativo, buscando eliminar la barrera entre arte y comunidad. Tiziano se sumergirá en esta práctica milenaria para ayudarnos a repensar las sociedades contemporáneas. No hay límite de edad ni necesidad de conocimientos previos, y se invita a todos a participar en esta experiencia, donde las ofrendas de pan se convierten en un elemento clave del show "Wayqeycuna".
"READ OF THE WORLD" is a workshop that is part of "Wayqeycuna", which seeks to intertwine art, territory, and community. This workshop provides a space to explore Andean practices, such as creating bread to honor our dead—those who have left the earthly plane and now inhabit the ancestral realm. The breads made will also be integrated into the stage performance. The workshop promotes collaborative work, aiming to bridge the gap between art and community. Tiziano will immerse himself in this ancient practice to help us reimagine contemporary societies. There is no age limit or prior knowledge required, and everyone is invited to participate in this experience, where the bread offerings become a key element of the "Wayqeycuna" show.

SOBRE/ ABOUT TIZIANO CRUZ
Tiziano Cruz es un artista interdisciplinar cuyo trabajo aúna fundamentalmente el lenguaje visual y teatral, la performance y la intervención artística en el espacio público. Tiziano ha sido becario del Fondo Nacional de las Artes y del Instituto Nacional del Teatro ARG. Ha ganado la Bienal de Arte Joven 2019, el premio ANTI, Finlandia, 2023 y el premio del público del teatro de Zúrich Spektakel prize 2024.
Fundó la Plataforma de Gestión Cultural ULMUS, dedicada a la mediación entre diferentes organizaciones culturales de Argentina y países limítrofes. También ha trabajado como productor de contenidos en el Centro Cultural Recoleta de Buenos Aires.
Sus obras han girado por Argentina, Chile, Brasil, México, Canadá, Portugal, España, Suiza, Alemania, Finlandia y Estados Unidos.
Tiziano Cruz is an interdisciplinary artist whose work fundamentally brings together visual and theatrical language, performance, and artistic intervention in public space. Tiziano has been a grantee of the Fondo Nacional de las Artes and the Instituto Nacional del Teatro ARG. He won the Bienal de Arte Joven 2019, the ANTI award, Finland, 2023, and the audience award from the Zurich Theatre Spektakel Prize 2024.
He founded the Cultural Management Platform ULMUS, which is dedicated to mediation between different cultural organizations in Argentina and neighboring countries. He has also worked as a Content Producer at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires.
His works have toured Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Finland and the USA.
