Our School Motto
Dear Parents/guardians,
It has been a busy and successful few weeks in school. This newsletter is bursting with information about events and trips that have taken place. We will be holding our celebration assembly on Monday of next week as the hall was needed for Children in Need Activities today.
Anti-bullying - On Tuesday Pupils talked about the importance of kindness and celebrating difference. Thank you for supporting odd socks day.
Men's Shed Johnston
We extend a thank you to Johnston Men's shed who have once again supported the school by fixing our netball posts free of charge.
Year Four - Trip Highlights
Year four had a wonderful day at Carew Castle last week. Mr Stephen's and Mrs Glynn reported that pupils' behaviour was exemplary and that they thoroughly enjoyed the different activities.
Year Three - Castell Henllys
On Wednesday, pupils in year three stepped back in time to visit Castell Henllys. Pupils at Johnston and Hook travelled together and thoroughly enjoyed the visit and experience.
Sports T-shirt Idea
Thank you for your response to my sports t-shirt vote. There has been a big response and an overwhelming thumbs up. After Christmas I will be able to share a link for parents to order online. I am going to purchase different sizes to keep in school so that pupils are able to see which size fits them best. Please note that although demonstrated on a male model, this is the same unisex t-shirt used by Haverfordwest High. The t-shirts will not be compulsory.
Well Done Blake
On Saturday 2nd November Blake travelled to Cardiff to represent the school in the first round of the Welsh Cross-Country League. The standard or running was exceptionally high with pupils travelling from across the U.K. and the adults race included Commonwealth Games runners! Blake ran incredibly well and finished in 3rd place! Blake runs again this weekend in Newtown. Good luck Blake!
