Taci's Portfolio Taci EHrlich

Introduction: My name is Taci Ehrlich, I am a 2027 graduate in photography one. This year in photography, I learned to look deeper into photos, because there is usually a deeper meaning. Pictures are very cool to me, especially when I am on the court, field, or with my friends. I truly have had the best experiences in photography, and I hope to continue this class in the future.

Farm

The goal of this photo was to capture a calm photo of a farm that does have much going on, but to some it has a big meaning.

The lighting in this photo is showing a calming evening. I used the lines in the field at an angle so they didn't face directly at the barn, and the home.

Creek Dam

The goal in this photo was to show the different lightings, and how it all hits to water. This photo also accomplished the beauty of nature, and the natural colors.

The several different lightings in this photo all show different reflections. The sun causes the water to look like it has beautiful crystals in it, while the shadow leaves the water dark and murky.

Decorations

The goal of this photo is to show how something so beautiful can become so quiet. You can tell by the design that the decorations are beautiful, but due to them looking black and white, they don't have much character to them.

With the photo being black and white, it causes the photo to look plane when it can be so much more. The angle of the photo makes the decorations look a lot higher than they actually are.

Flowers

The goal of this photo is to show the beauty of nature. When I took this photo, this tree with its flower really stuck out to me because there isn't anymore around. It was like finding the needle in the haystack.

The lighting in this photo makes the white flowers shine. It also makes the pinkish color stand out so much more. In this photo I did zoom in at all, instead I just put the camera really close to the tree. I was also too short, so this angle is more up.

Owl

The goal of this photo was the owl. It took some time to get the owl to look straight, so it took patience, and hopefulness.

In this photo I stood about 10 feet away from the owl and zoomed in and squated. I stood there patiently waiting for the right moment to take a burst of photos.

Worms Eye View

The goal of this Photo was to get the camera as low as possible, and show what a worm would see. I liked this photo because the green and yellow really complimented each other.

The photo of this angle was as low a possible, and tilt the lense up. I think the photo turned out pretty good.

Carbonated Drink

The goal in this photo was to have nothing distracting the viewer from the drink. I want to have this photo look like an advertisement.

In this photo, I had multiple photo lights on the drink so that every angle had good lighting. I also had the drink sitting on a blue poster board because red and blue are across on the color wheel.

Hippos Waterfall

The goal in this photo was to show the green water, with the beautiful waterfall.

The lighting in the photo is significant because you can see an obvious difference in the water in the shade, and the water in the sun. The glare for the sun makes the water and the bubbles shine so beautifully.

Water Dranage

The goal in this photo was to show how beautiful the most random things can be. This water was coming out of a big dirty aquarium, but still looked so good.

The dark lighting in this photo makes the white water look so cool compared to the rock. In this situation, I don't think the picture would have turned out as good if the sun was shining.

Thunderbolt Pink

The goal in this photo was to make this LED sign look as cool as possible. I also wanted the whole word in the photo, but there was a lot of stuff behind me.

The purple and the pink dont make each other stand out, but the lighting is still decent. If I had more room behind me, I would've taken a better photo.

Sidewalk Art

The goal of this photo was to show the neat design in the sidewalk. I think the shadow of the tree above made the photo look so much better.

The shadow in this photo did cut off the top of the design just a little bit, but I still think it makes the character of the photo so much better.

Rye Main Street

The goal of this photo was to show how much meaning main street really has. I wanted to show all of the stores on the right side, while also showing the mountains and its wonders.

I chose to make this photo black and white because I think it allows the photo to have more character. I think having no color makes you look deeper into the photo.

Quiet Doors

The goal of this photo was to show the feeling of walking into school. It shows that there can be such a beautiful day outside, but you are inside a building instead.

With how bright the sun rays are, you couldn't even tell whether or not the lights were on inside. I think if it was even a little bit darker outside, this photo wouldn't have turned out so good.

Prettiest Eyes

The goal of this photo was to get kelsy's eye to pop out with as much color as possible. With that, her freckles also looked really good, so it was a win win.

In this photo we were on the stage with the lights off. I had Kelsy standing against the black curtain, opening her eyes as wide as possible. I also had kaylee and leila holding their phones flashlight in her face while I took, the photo.

Bright Orange Sunset

The goal in this photo was to show the contrast in colors, and how beautiful nature really can be. I think the trees are what pulled this photo all together.

The black ground made the colors in the sky pop out so much more. I don't think the colors would be has vibrant without the black helping them out.

My Favorite Assignment

My favorite assignment was definitely the scavenger hunt. It was so exciting because so many people got involved and had a laugh. I thought it was cool how one assignment brought so many kids, people, and objects together.

Progress

I think I definitely made a lot of progress in photography this year. At the beginning of the year, I barely had any knowledge on how to use a camera, or edit photos. Now I love using the cameras, and showing people how to use them. I learned how to use EDU. Blogs , and I finally started getting my assignments done effiecentally.
