R.E - This week in R.E, we have been looking at what makes water special. We learnt that water is symbolic in many religions, as it can represent a fresh start and washing away sins. We specifically looked at Baptisms in Christianity and what happens when someone is baptised. On a rain drop, we drew inside images to show why water is special.
P.E - In P.E, we have continued to work on our hockey skills. We worked in partners first to practise passing the ball to each other. Then, we took it in turns to dribble with the ball and tried to tackle each other.
Waste Warriors - On Friday, we created posters to persuade people to not waste food. These will be entered into a competition. Next week, we are going to try our very best to not waste as much food at lunchtime.
Maths - In maths, we worked super hard on finding fractions of amounts. We then challenged ourselves further by having a go at some tricky word problems.
Reading - On Friday, we read a song un our reading session. We take it in turns to read a verse before watching the video clip from the movie; this week was Aladdin: A Whole New World. The children love answering fact retrieval questions and adding their own opinion about the songs!
