RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PK4 - 12TH GRADE - CORPUS CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH - 2024/25

WELCOME

Dear Parents,

I am very excited to be able to share with you the registration for this year’s Religious Education Program. Our Religious Ed/Sacramental Prep is fully in person and we are excited to journey with you as you fulfill the promise you made at your child’s Baptism to raise them up and instruct them in the Catholic Faith. Our program is designed to run from the time your child is in PK4 to when he/she graduates from High School. That being said, we are happy to accept your child in any grade he/she is currently in.

In Christ,

Annette Cayer

Director of Religious Education - Corpus Christi Catholic Church

A LIFELONG JOURNEY

Over the course of their Religious Education, they will receive their First Communion on or about 2nd Grade and be Confirmed on or about 9th Grade. Many people believe they simply need only attend Sacramental Prep and then not return until the next Sacramental year. This is not the ideal way to ensure that your child is receiving the fullness of instruction or the lived example that our Faith offers. Growing in our love and knowledge of our God and the Church He established is a lifelong journey. Please prayerfully consider allowing us to journey with and support you, the parents, on this exciting adventure through all those years.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

The program will be very simple. Besides attending Mass with your children every Sunday, you and your children will come to the Church once a week for prayer and class.

You will register for either a Monday or Wednesday and come at 5:00 PM to the Church with your children. We will gather with one of our priests or deacons for a prayer service and that will be followed by class with our Religious Education team. Class will end at 6:30PM.

SACRAMENTS

If you are preparing your child for a Sacrament this year Baptism, First Reconciliation/First Communion (2nd grade and above) or Confirmation (9th grade and above) please be sure to register your child for that session.

FOR RETURNING FAMILIES

For Returning Families: If we have your child’s current Baptismal certificate on file from the 2024-2025 RE year, we will not need a new one for as long as your child continues to be enrolled and active in our program.

If you are enrolling a younger sibling from whom we do not have a Baptismal certificate on file, please call or email the parish where the child was Baptized and request a CURRENT certificate be sent to you. Once you have received it please drop it off or mail it to us at the Church office.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!
