The goal of the Hopewell Library Media Center is to provide quality literature for our K-5 students that represents the vast array of student upbringings, experiences, identity, demographics, and beliefs. We want students to see themselves on the covers and in-between the pages of our books as well as give them opportunities to use books as windows to learn about the world around them.
How is the Library Media Center space used?
Throughout the year, the LMC is utilized for book circulation for nearly 500 students, maker space projects, a Bridges classroom, small group testing, staff technology usage, staff meetings, Book Fairs, and more!
Library & Maker Projects
Although we spend a LOT of time reading, talking about literature, and checking out books -- we do even more! Our Makerspace allows us to build, engineer, and create. Each year third grade students participate in the Global Traveling Mural. Check out our mural for this year!
