JANUARY communiqué

Hi everyone, Blessed New Year to you and all your loved ones.

The Church Theme for this year is “Lift Jesus Higher”

Paul reminds us in Col. 1:18 that Jesus is the supremo of our faith. He must be given preeminence in our personal life, the Church and the world. He is the beloved of our Heavenly Father, the source of our deliverance, the source of our our redemption, the power that holds EVERYTHING together and the Head of the Church. “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence” (Col. 1:13-18) Hebrew tells us that He, being the Son of God is the expression of who God is and everything about Him, His word and His work is greater than the greatest man and woman of God mentioned in the Scriptures, and even the mightiest angels are subservient to Him. “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they” (Heb. 1:1-4) No wonder Paul declared, “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” (1 Cor. 2:2) Paul, the man who was unapologetic about all his religious and social pedigree (Phil .3:4-6) lifted up Jesus higher like no others have done when he declared, “Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.” (Phil. 3:8) Jesus is the Pearl of Great Price (Matt 13:45-46) and the centre of every mighty move of God noted in the Scriptures and also after the Day of Pentecost. Jesus Himself declared, “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” (John 12:32) Paul’s greatest desire was not to be the most anointed preacher, church planter or apostle. His greatest desire was that he, “…. may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead” (Phil. 3:10-11) His legendary apostolic ministry was a result of his greatest desire. Lift Jesus Higher! Jesus must always be the greatest boast of our lives and the Church. He is my best friend, my Savior and Lord, my Master and King, the Christ, the Anointed one, the Messiah, the Son of the Living God, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Author and Finisher of our faith, the Vine, the Bread of Life, the water of Life, the Way, the Truth and the Life, the only Gate, the Good Shepherd, the Great Shepherd, the Chief Shepherd, the Lily of the Valley, the Fairest of Ten Thousand, and the Word of God, the I Am. There is no one like Him.

Lift Jesus Higher!

Jesus is your closest and most wonderful friend. He alone is worthy of praise. Lift Jesus Higher! We, “Lift Jesus Higher!” by giving Him our total loyalty, unreserved dedication and give Him our unblemished love. Decide today to Follow Him, Serve Him, Worship Him in unprecedented ways. I believe 2026 will be a blessed, breakthrough and miraculous year for you and all your loved ones as you, “Lift Jesus Higher!” Blessed New Year!
