I would like to express my absolute pride in our opera performers! Having been chosen to open the show, they not only sung and danced beautifully but conducted themselves with professionalism. I cannot state enough how exemplary their behaviour was all day and how well each and every pupil listened to feedback from the Royal Opera House singers and staff.
Our netballers took that fighting spirit to the Northern Cup and brought back silver medals. We are through to the Winter Cup final. Well done, team!
Easter School
We will run Year 6 Easter School on Monday 21st April 10am - 2pm. Food will be provided. Apologies for the delay in communication- we are having contractors in school and were unable to commit to a date before now.
Late arrival
Please ensure that you arrive at school before 8.50am every day. Missing the morning activities and settling in time is very disruptive, not just to the rest of the class, but to the pupil who is late. It is difficult walking into a full classroom, not knowing what you are doing, even as an adult! The playground is free for drop off from 8.30am.
If on a rare occasion you are late, please do not leave without signing your child in at reception.
Clubs
You need to sign up to all clubs on the 23rd April when they go live in the My Child at School App. There are changes due to accommodating staff timetables during our assessment term. Parents of younger pupils should consult with their teachers as to whether they feel their child is ready to access after school clubs.
Regular attendance is expected. Pick up is at the end of the session. Flexible pick up is available through wraparound provision.

Reminder about recycling changes
As part of the new Simpler Recycling Legislation, which took effect on 31st March 2025, pupils and staff are required to separate food waste into designated food waste bins rather than placing it in general waste bins.
As soon as our new bins arrive, to help guide pupils, posters will be displayed near the bins to remind them of the correct place to dispose of their food waste. We kindly ask that you take a moment to explain these changes to your child, so they are prepared when they return to school after the Easter break.
This new initiative is a key part of our Trust’s Sustainability Strategy, and we appreciate your support in helping to encourage good recycling habits.

SEND Focus- Paediatric referrals
Community paediatrics in Lincolnshire is part of a combined children’s service provided by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
They are based in Lincoln, Grantham and Boston but also deliver clinics outside these bases.
The service is an outpatient service and they see children with problems relevant to community paediatrics including the following:
- Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
- Autistic spectrum disorder
- Developmental delay
- Cerebral palsy
What do you need to do if you want to make a referral for your child?
- Talk to your class teacher about your child's SEND needs and make an appointment with Mrs Capes to complete a joint assessment.
- Complete the referral forms ahead of the meeting with Mrs Capes.
- An Early Help Assessment may be appropriate to support managing behaviour at home.
- It is also helpful to complete online courses to support your understanding your child's needs and can support the referral process.
