Helping Hands Reception class, autumn term, week 13

As part of our learning about those who help us, we’ve been thinking about who helps us, who we can help, and how to show gratitude for the help we receive.

Firstly, a huge thank you to the families that were able to come into school on Tuesday morning to support our 'Hooks into Books' story session.

We made thank-you cards to express our gratitude to those who have helped us. The children chose to write messages of thanks to family members, teachers, caretakers, dinner staff, and many others.

In other news, we have been learning about the importance of oral hygiene. Every child received a free toothbrush and toothpaste after going over the correct brushing techniques.

Maths has had us thinking about the number 'zero' and what it means. We've enjoyed a range of practical activities to deepen our understanding of numbers.

Finally, here are some nice photos of our learning through play this week.
