102nd Westchester Open Championship Presented by poland spring

June 10-11, 2024 | The Saint Andrew's Golf Club | Hastings-On-Hudson, New York

The Tournament

The Westchester Open Championship takes place over two days. Following the opening round, a cut will be made to the low 40 scores and ties and anyone within five shots of the lead.

Day two features 36 holes of play to determine a champion.

The Saint Andrew's Golf Club

The Saint Andrew's Golf Club and its history dates back to 1888. In 1894 it hosted the first iterations of both national amateur and open championships and later that year was instrumental in the founding of the United States Golf Association.

Radical changes were made to the club's course in the 1980s, presenting the picturesque, challenging layout that will test Westchester Open Championship participants this week.

The Field

120 competitors will step onto the course, including 11 past Westchester Open champions: Paul Pastore (2020), Frank Bensel (2019, 2004) Mike Ballo, Jr. (2012), Greg Bisconti (2011), Craig Thomas (2009), John Stoltz (2008), Tony DeMaria (2007), Dave Fusco (2003,2001), Thomas Sutter (2002), Carl Alexander (2000) and Bobby Heins (1992, 1990, 1988, 1983, 1982, 1981).

Greg Bisconti and Mitch Gray will represent their home club, Saint Andrew's, in the competition.

Christian Cavaliere, Hudson National Golf Club

A three-time WGA Amateur champion (2017, '18, '19) and 2022 Westchester Open runner-up, this Boston College alum is looking to etch his name on the trophy for the first time.

Greg Bisconti, Saint Andrew's Golf Club

As the 2011 champion, Bisconti is no stranger to the Westchester Open. He's competing for this year's title at his home club where he is the head golf professional. The 2013 Westchester PGA champion and 2017 Met PGA Senior-Junior champion, Bisconti is certainly a veteran to keep your eye on.

Alex Beach, Tremont Sporting Co.

The 2022 Met PGA Player of the Year, Beach is looking to improve upon his fourth place finish at the 101st Westchester Open Championship.

Peter Ballo, The Connecticut Golf Club

Ballo is a two-time Connecticut Open champion (2022, '21). He recorded a 14th place finish at the 101st Westchester Open Championship.

Mike Ballo, Jr., Tamarack Country Club

In his first year as Head Golf Professional at Tamarack, Ballo won the 2024 POLO Met PGA Head Professional Championship. He also claimed the 2023 Met PGA Silvercrest Cup.

Paul Pastore, Fairview Country Club

Pastore is aiming to repeat his performance at the 2020 Westchester Open Championship where he claimed the title. More recently, he tied for 20th at the 2022 Connecticut Open Championship.

Frank Bensel, Century Country Club

Bensel has two Westchester Open Championship wins spanning 15 years (2019, '04). In 2023, he claimed the Met PGA Senior Match Play Championship and the Met PGA Team Championship.
