Hello Willow families,

Hope you are doing well. In this edition of our Willow Scribbles we will cover the following areas. Please see below:

Practical Life Skills Area

Children are learning ground rules, be respectful and kind, walk and move gently, share materials and wait for your turn. Learning to Tweeze develop patience and persistence. children are shown how to use basters to transfer liquid.

Language

Purpose of object to picture helps the child to connect real life objects with their pictures such as fruits, vegetables, plants. Matching and sorting things develop thinking and memory skills. Children enjoys the library reading books.

Sensorial Area

Children are learning to identify rough and smooth by using their sense of touch to explore the physical feel of objects. Puzzles help children develop patience and concentration, also support child cognitive development.

Math Area

Sandpaper numbers are a Montessori math tool that introduces children to the numbers 0--5. Children trace the numbers with their fingers to learn the shapes. Montessori approach to math can help young learners develop a deep understanding of numbers.

Art Area

Children created art projects like Scare Crow creation, make a Pumpkin Pie, Corn on the Cob to name few.

Our Halloween Celebration

We celebrated this year's Halloween last week with decoration theme and trick- o- treat. Children were very excited and celebrated joyfully.

Diwali Celebration

Diwali - festival of light celebrated by Indian community all over the world. Teachers provided information about tradition, philosophy, and importance of Diwali.
We harvested the plants which were seeded, watered and cared by the toddlers (Willow). They enjoyed observing plants growing.
