  • TAMIU has been recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge as a 2024 ALL IN Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting. Kudos to the TAMIU ALL-In Task Force for their leadership in this initiative.

Registration for Wintermester 2025 and Spring 2025 continues through Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Fall Semester Enrollment at TAMIU Sets Record; Increase in Semester Credit Hours Impressive

This Fall 2024 semester at TAMIU heralds impressive gains with a historic Fall enrollment of 8,945 students, a 5.24% increase over last Fall and a 5.26% increase in semester credit hours.

The University celebrated the milestone semester with a student engagement initiative dubbed “U are Dear to Us” that affirmed daily efforts by University offices, departments, Colleges and Schools focused on student support and success.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! In celebration of the holiday season, TAMIU ushered in the holidays during its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony held at the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library Front Lawn. This year's celebration was even more special through the generous support of the Killam organization's efforts to fill Dusty's Food Pantry shelves this holiday season.

TAMIU Sets Fall Commencement Ceremonies; Pati Jinich to Provide Commencement Address

TAMIU will honor its candidates for graduation at Fall Commencement Ceremonies Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at the Sames Auto Arena. Two ceremonies will be held, one at 11 a.m. and one at 4 p.m. Ceremonies are open to the public and free of charge.

The 11 a.m. ceremony will feature undergraduate and graduate candidates for degrees from the College of Arts and Sciences and University College. The 4 p.m. ceremony will include candidates for undergraduate and graduate degrees from the A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, the College of Education, and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Providing the Commencement Address for the Fall candidates will be award-winning author, chef, and TV host Pati Jinich. Born and raised in Mexico City, Jinich is the host and executive producer of the James Beard Award-winning PBS Primetime docuseries La Frontera, which shares untold stories from the U.S.-México border, the long-running four-time Emmy-nominated PBS daytime show Pati’s Mexican Table now on its 13th season, where she brings flavors from around México into American homes, and a new PBS Primetime series premiering Spring 2025.

TAMIU Recognized as a 2024 ALL IN Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting

TAMIU has been recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge (ALL IN) as a 2024 ALL IN Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting.

The ALL IN Most Engaged Campuses for College Student Voting recognizes colleges and universities for outstanding efforts to increase nonpartisan student voter participation. TAMIU joins a group of 471 colleges and universities recognized by ALL IN.
