Summer Art Camp
Third Grade
As part of their Social Studies unit on Immigration, Third Grade students at Eleanor Roosevelt explored the culture of their chosen country. Students were encouraged to explore their family’s heritage and cultural background. They learned about their country’s geography, food, and places to visit. They shared fun facts that they learned about their country. Students enjoyed finding commonalities between their cultures. In addition, they created a "suitcase" project to exhibit their chosen country.
Fourth Grade
Fourth graders are excited for the fourth marking period! Here are some of the things that will be taking place this marking period. The fourth grade field trip to Washington Crossing Historic Park will be on May 14th. If you did not send in the permission slip and money, please do so ASAP. The fourth grade teachers are looking forward to discussing your child’s progress at the optional spring conferences this week. Be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher if you are unsure of your conference time. In addition, PSSA testing will start the week of April 22nd. Be sure that your child has a good night's sleep and eats breakfast on testing days. The students are permitted to bring in gum or hard sucking candy for testing days. They will not be permitted to share these items. Field day teams are posted in the fourth grade classrooms and the students wrote their team color in their assignment book. Field day is on May 23rd and shirts can be purchased on this site. https://go.fieldsprintwear.com/erfieldday/shop/home
Thank you so much!!
