English - This week, we wrote our own animal reports using our plans we wrote up on Friday last week. We used sub-heading to let our reader know what each paragraph is about. After we wrote these up, we re-wrote them neatly on a report template which included a picture to display in our classroom.
Creative Writing - We used some time on Friday afternoon to write in our creative writing books. The children could choose to either write about what plans they had for half term, or to write a story about anything you like. This is a lovely time for children to come up with some very creative stories!
Maths - We have worked super hard on our column addition and subtraction! We can neatly lay out of columns in our maths books and work out addition and subtraction questions independently. On Friday, we used our new knowledge to support us in answering word problems.
We have also enjoyed playing Blooket for the last 15 minutes at the end of Thursday. In this game, you must answer times table questions to get treasure and you can even steal treasure from your friends!
Reading - We spent some time in our school library on Thursday afternoon. We changed our library books and did some independent reading before sitting together as a class to read a story. We had a nice and relaxing time!
Teeny Tiny Toon - On Wednesday, we were lucky enough to have some visitors in to make puppets! We had so much fun designing them before making them. Next week, Teeny Tiny Toon are going to come and see us again to create a movie using our puppets.
