Why Now?
Despite huge progress over the last two decades, halving the mortality rate, every minute a child still dies from this preventable disease.
We’re now at a critical tipping point. The perfect storm is here — resistance to current tools, extreme weather events, humanitarian crises and a global funding crisis — is putting decades of progress at risk.
We Must Act
We're urging leaders to make a strong commitment to the Global Fund during this year’s replenishment. Failing to do so risks a devastating resurgence in malaria cases and deaths.
The Path to Zero Is Still Within Reach
2025 is our moment of opportunity to get the malaria fight back on track.
For the first time ever, we have a game-changing toolkit: next-gen mosquito nets, new antimalarial drugs, and the world’s first malaria vaccines.
But tools alone aren’t enough — we need political will and financial commitment to deploy them at scale.
A fully funded Global Fund is critical to getting back on track towards elimination. Ending malaria not only saves lives, but it’s also an investment in the world’s economic and health security.
