Dear Bluejay Family,
Welcome back! We hope you had a joyful and restful Mardi Gras break. As we begin this first full week of Lent, we are reminded that this season calls us to renewal through three powerful tools—prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. These practices help us grow in our faith and draw closer to God.
As part of my own Lenten journey, I am participating in Hallow’s Pray 40 Challenge. I know that several faculty and staff members as well as several classrooms are as well. This week’s fasting focus is to fast from noise—a challenge that feels especially meaningful as we return to the energy of a full school week. How often do we find ourselves longing for stronger faith yet struggling with doubt? By embracing moments of silence—whether in prayer, during family meals, or on the drive to school—we create space for God to strengthen our belief and guide our hearts. Choosing moments of silence, and turning away from our world of endless distractions (noise) helps us to hear God’s voice more clearly, to be present with one another, and to deepen our trust in Him.
As we continue through this Lenten season, let us encourage our children to seek God in the quiet, trusting that He is always present. Wishing you all a blessed and meaningful Lent!
Grace & Peace,
Erin B. Henry
Principal
"But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you." - Matthew 6:6

LENT
We are now in the solemn season of Lent. This is a time of preparation and repentance, of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. We have a few different ways of engaging in these Lenten pillars.
-Each morning we will have a different prayer challenge (Tuesdays w/Scripture & Thursdays w/a sain), fast challenge (Mondays & Fridays), or give challenge (Wednesdays). We would love for you to join us in these daily challenges. Be on the lookout for these in our Bluejay Bulletin each week.
-Another way to pray with us is through the Lenten series found on the Hallow app. Join the Kids' Lent Challenge: The Little Way HERE! Join the adults Lent Pray40: The Way HERE! Check out their free trial!
-We will also have Silence for Jesus during lunch on Fridays. This sacrifice is a small recognition of the sacrifice Jesus made for us on Good Friday.
-Instead of a recessional song to end school Mass, we will pray the St. Michael prayer after closing prayer.

Dear Bluejay Family,
We finally were able to get in all of our baseball and softball games in last week! Our softball teams are dominating their opponents. The baseball boys are fighting with Bluejay spirit week in and week out. Regardless of the outcome on the scoreboard, win or loss, we are very proud of the kids and the coaches for battling adversity and nights at the park all week. It is our hope that our Bluejays enjoyed the week of rest as we look to conclude baseball and softball when we return. After that we begin swim, track and tennis!
