Lute Women's Lacrosse vs. Whitworth 2025 Pacific Lutheran University Digital Game Program

Setting the Scene: The Lutes close out their inaugural season today, honoring the program's first ever senior class before squaring off against in-state rival Whitworth University.

Series History: This is the first all-time meeting between the two programs.

About the Lutes: Pacific Lutheran (1-12, 0-6 NWC) got six goals from Taylee Alldredge over the weekend but it wasn't enough in a pair of road setbacks to Oregon rivals Pacific University and George Fox University.

PLU conceded four of the first five goals last Friday against Pacific but the Lutes battled back, tying the game with 27 seconds left in the first quarter on a Alldredge goal. The game was again tied 5-5 early in the second quarter but the host Boxers would score four of the final five goals to slink away with the win.

Saturday saw Alldredge score the team's lone goal in a 22-1 setback against conference juggernaut George Fox.

10 Lutes have scored a goal this season or registered a point this season. Taylee Alldredge headlines that group with a team-best 25 goals and 28 points. Alldredge has scored in 10 of the team's 13 games. Annie Latimer leads the team in assists (six) and is second on the squad in points (10), Issabella Marchio has eight goals with Katrina Moran chipping in six.

Alldredge also leads the team in ground balls with 40 while Gracie Cecka has 29 in 2025.

Kassie Diller hasn't missed a minute in goal, racking up 149 saves with a 40.5 save percentage across the opening 13 games. The sophomore is also second on the team in ground balls with 30.

About the Pirates: Whitworth (5-7, 2-4 NWC) heads into the weekend having dropped two straight and three of its last four. The Pirates lone victory during that stretch was a 15-13 nail biter on the road over Linfield University on April 13.

The second quarter proved to be the difference maker in that game with the visiting Pirates outscoring the Wildcats 5-1 during that 15-minute segment. Campbell Vincent was the star of the day for Whitworth, scoring four goals and was one of eight Pirates to score on the day.

Last weekend the Pirates scored a lot of goals but wasn't able to get any wins to show for that production, falling 17-12 to Willamette University and 20-16 to Lewis & Clark College.

Campbell Vincent leads the team in scoring with 51 goals and 15 assists in just 12 games. Sierra With has 28 goals and a team-best 19 assists while Kenzie Herman and Megan Whitman have 23 and 22 goals, respectively.

Sage Fosnock has seen a bulk of the minutes in goal, owning a 12.90 goals against average and making 59 saves.

East Field Magic: PLU's East Field has been a tough place for opposing team's to play at during the 2024-2025 academic year. The Lute women's lacrosse squad along with the Northwest Conference Champion men's and women's soccer teams have combined for a 15-7-7 record on the turf this academic year.

Thank You Seniors!

Big thank you to the first ever senior class of the PLU varsity women's lacrosse program. These seniors have laid the foundation in a season of firsts.

Luteville Highlights from Last Week

A Season of Firsts: Women's lacrosse became the first new varsity sport for the University since 1996 when the team played its first game back on Feb. 16. That game saw a lot of milestones. First goal was provided by Taylee Alldredge, the first assist was claimed by Annie Latimer. Meanwhile, later that week Kassie Diller became the program's first NWC Athlete of the Week.
