Family Engagement Day

Dayton High School Families,

We are excited and ready for our second Family Engagement Day and the opportunity to meet with and check in on ALL high school students and their families.

On Wednesday, October 23rd, from 2:15 pm to 6:00 pm, Dayton High will be hosting its second Family Engagement Day for our students, families, teachers, and staff. The goal of these meetings will be to check in with students, review student STAR and KSA test scores, and continue to build strong partnerships between home and school to enhance the school experience for EACH of our students.

Unlike the first Family Engagement Day, families are not necessarily meeting with their students’ first period teacher. Instead, they will be meeting with a teacher from that grade level team. For example, the teachers who teach majority seventh graders will meet with families of seventh grade students. Once you sign up, you will know when your meeting is, but you will not know which teacher you will be meeting with until arrival on Wednesday, October 23rd.

End of First Quarter🍂

The end of the First Quarter is October 10th. I encourage everybody to keep up the great work as we close in on this quarter! Fall Break will be from October 11 - 15. The second quarter will begin on Wednesday 16th.

Join us for our GROW as we talk about how dangerous vaping can be for not just you but your kids!
It's hard to believe that we are five weeks into the Energy Bus program for this school year. This week, we wrapped up Rule #1(Create a Positive Vision). Next week, we will start on Rule #2 (Fuel Your Ride with Positive Energy). In conjunction with Rule #2, we will conduct a grade-level Positive Behavior Competition. Each school day during the five weeks that we are discussing Rule #2 each grade level has a chance to add "Fuel" to their grade level tank. The grade level with the fewest behavior referrals for the day will have "Fuel" added to their tank. Weekly incentives will be provided to the grade level with the most "Fuel" in their tank, there will also be an incentive for the overall winner at the end of the five-week competition. Any student who receives a behavior referral during the competition will be excluded from receiving the weekly or overall incentive.
